India’s most ambitious mythological epic just got a firm rollout plan.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, is set for a two-stage trailer launch that takes it from Delhi to the entire world in under a week.

Ramayana trailer rollout starts July 18 in Delhi and goes worldwide July 24. Here’s the full cast, music, VFX details and release plan for Part 1.

Ramayana Trailer: The Rollout Plan

The makers have confirmed a special preview event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on July 18, 2026, followed by the full worldwide digital trailer premiere on July 24, 2026.

The Delhi event is expected to offer invitees early glimpses, while the global drop on July 24 gives audiences everywhere their first look at the complete trailer.

Who’s Playing Who

The cast list reads like a pan-India dream team:

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama
  • Yash as Ravana
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita
  • Ravie Dubey as Lakshman
  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman, a casting reveal that’s already generating strong reactions online

The score comes from a genuinely rare pairing: Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman working together on the music.

The Scale Behind It

Ramayana is being shot for IMAX, with VFX handled by Oscar-winning studio DNEG.

It’s structured as a two-part saga, with Part 1 releasing this Diwali 2026 and Part 2 following on Diwali 2027.

A teaser released earlier this year around Hanuman Jayanti already gave fans a first look at Ranbir Kapoor’s transformation into Rama, and expectations for the full trailer have only grown since, especially given the project’s reported combined budget of Rs 4,000 crore across both parts.

What To Expect From The Trailer

Early indications point to the trailer showcasing Rama’s divine presence, Ravana’s imposing scale, the emotional core of Rama and Sita’s story, and the first real glimpses of the vanara sena heading into battle.
