The trailer for De De Pyaar De 2 has finally arrived, and it is everything which fans wished for Son Of Sardaar 2!
After Raid 2 and SOS 2, this will be Ajay’s third sequel movie releasing in the same year! Bas Bhai! But there will be more – Drishyam 3, Golmaal 5!
Ajay Devgn’s trademark blend of charm, sarcasm, and family drama returns in the 2019 hit’s sequel, but the stakes (and the laughs) are higher than ever.
The cool but bewildered middle-aged man who once fell in love with a much younger woman, Aashish, is played by Ajay again.
When Aashish decides to formally announce his relationship with his girlfriend in this new chapter, he finds himself in front of her parents, which takes a hilarious turn.
And that’s where the real fun starts!
Check my De De Pyaar De 2 Trailer Review and what I think about the situational and meta references in the movie which can really make this movie a good watch!
De De Pyaar De 2 Trailer Review:
The Establishment of the Story:
In the first scene of the trailer, R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor portray Aashish’s anxious encounter with his girlfriend Ayesha’s parents.

When Madhavan discovers that his daughter’s boyfriend is nearly his age, what should have been a cordial family introduction swiftly devolves into mayhem.
Bring on the clumsy smiles, startled looks, and one well-timed smirk from Ajay Devgn.
Aashish’s attempts to please the family only end up making things worse, from amusing miscommunications to accidentally referring to his mother-in-law as “Bhabhi ji”!
The parents’ preference for Meezaan Jafri as the “ideal” younger man stokes the flames.
In the ensuing comedy of manners, Aashish is forced to demonstrate that love is genuinely ageless.
Situational Comedy & Meta References That Are Right On Point:
In contrast to many overly theatrical comedies, De De Pyaar De 2 maintains a realistic and relatable sense of humor.
Rather than being forced punchlines, the meta jokes come from everyday awkward situations.
Like Ajay Devgn’s driver stopping the car in Singham style entry for Ajay Devgn and saying “Important mauke par aap aise hi utarte ho” had me really laughing!
Once again, Madhavan’s serene intensity and nuanced facial expressions perfectly complement Ajay Devgn’s renowned deadpan humor.
Meezan’s entry scene on two cars standing like Ajay Devgn was hilarious too!

Daal kon nahi khata by Madhavan is hilarious too!
While Jaaved Jaaferi steals scenes with his flawless comic timing as Aashish’s devoted but brutally honest friend, Gautami Kapoor adds poise and wit to the mix.

Gautami’s expression and Ajay embrassement bring more laughs in end of trailer when Buddha Mil Gaya song plays!
Viewers are captivated from beginning to end by the cast’s effortless chemistry, which is evident in every glance, pause, and response.
New Faces, Old Feelings
Although there is a lot of nostalgia for fans of the original De De Pyaar De, the sequel is more than a rehash.
The original idea is deftly reversed; the older man now has to win over an even older (and doubtful) father figure.

Although Tabu is missed, Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, and Meezaan Jafri keep things interesting and lively.
In her role as Ayesha, Rakul Preet Singh once again exudes warmth and sparkle, using charm and genuineness to counterbalance the chaos around her.
De De Pyaar De 2 Trailer Review:
The trailer’s vibrant visuals perfectly convey the playful tone.
A breezy entertainer is on the horizon, as evidenced by the snappy editing, lively music, and sharp dialogue.
De De Pyaar De 2 looks like a fun mix of romance, family drama, and situational comedy based on the trailer.
Written and Produced by Luv Ranjan, the film has similar tone of Pyaar Ka Punchnama series, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Tu Jhooti Main Makkar!
This sequel may end up being one of the most enjoyable romantic comedies of the year thanks to Ajay Devgn’s effortless wit, R. Madhavan’s subtle humor, and a vibrant supporting cast.
On November 14, 2025, De De Pyaar De 2 will be released in theaters.
Mark your calendars accordingly.
A lot of delightful awkwardness, love, and laughter are to be expected!
