According to reports, the creators believed that reusing “Aashiqui” would lead to comparisons and potential legal issues. So they turned around.
Additionally, they chose Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, which is nostalgic but unique, over a complete title reboot.

The essence of the movie is still very much the same, despite the new title.
With Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, Anurag Basu directing, and sensational Pritam providing the music, it remains a romantic drama.
Indeed, the love story is anchored by Sreeleela, who plays Kartik’s opposite.
This new title reinforces its romantic core without relying too much on tradition, even paying homage to nostalgia with a line reminiscent of the classic Aashiqui song.

The filming is almost finished. After the actors and crew complete the final schedule, the film will move into post-production.
