War 2 Villain: Hrithik Roshan Turns Rogue, Everything You Need To Know!

Release Date: August 14, 2025
Starring: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, Kiara Advani
Directed by: Ayan Mukerji
Universe: YRF Spy Universe

A high-octane face-off is coming your way as War 2, the sixth installment in the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe, drops on August 14, 2025.

The buzz has officially gone nuclear, and now—thanks to a synopsis shared by US-based ticketing giant Fandango—we finally have a glimpse into what this mega-sequel has in store.

And here’s the twist: Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir is no longer the hero.
He’s now being dubbed India’s greatest villain.

If you remember the 2019 original War, Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir was the sharp, elite Indian agent with nerves of steel and a heart of gold.

But in War 2, he’s switched sides—and gone completely off the grid.

The official synopsis reveals that Kabir has turned rogue, diving deep into darkness, and becoming the nation’s deadliest threat.

“Years ago, Agent Kabir went rogue… and became India’s greatest villain ever.”
Sounds chilling already, right?

Enter Vikram: Jr NTR Joins the YRF Spy Universe

Who do you send when your deadliest asset goes rogue? Someone even deadlier.

That’s where Jr NTR steps in, playing Agent Vikram, a Special Units Officer who’s not just Kabir’s match—he’s a walking weapon.

Described as “absolutely nuclear” in the synopsis, Vikram is a relentless force haunted by his own demons, with one mission: take Kabir down.

According to the plot:
“This is a brutal Cat vs Rottweiler game… The entire world is their battlefield. The choices are impossible. The cost is everything.”

So, don’t expect this to be a typical spy flick—War 2 promises emotional stakes, global-scale destruction, and a personal vendetta that will redefine the franchise.

Kiara Advani Joins the Firefight

While most eyes are on the Hrithik–NTR face-off, don’t sleep on Kiara Advani, who also joins the cast in a key role.

While her character details are still under wraps, fans are hoping she’ll play more than just a love interest—and maybe even bring some surprises of her own into the mix.

Spy Universe Expands: This Is Just the Beginning

War 2 isn’t just a sequel—it’s a crucial chapter in the ever-growing YRF Spy Universe, which has been building momentum with each release:

• Ek Tha Tiger

• Tiger Zinda Hai

• War

• Pathaan

• Tiger 3

• and now, War 2.

Director Ayan Mukerji, best known for his work on Brahmāstra, revealed that this film has been in development for a long time—with special focus on crafting the conflict and emotional tension between Kabir and Vikram.

With massive scale, stylized action, and rich storytelling, War 2 looks like it’ll raise the bar for the entire franchise.

And guess what? The Spy Universe is not slowing down.

🎬 Coming Up Next: Alpha ft. Alia Bhatt

Once War 2 lands in theatres this August, YRF is lining up its next big release—Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles.

Slated to drop on December 25, Alpha promises to bring a fresh, female-driven narrative to the table, directed by Shiv Rawail.

Looks like 2025 is officially the Year of the Spy in Indian cinema.

🎟️ Telugu Rights Sold, Hype Through the Roof

The excitement isn’t limited to just Bollywood fans.

According to reports, the Telugu rights for War 2 have already been sold for a jaw-dropping ₹80 crore, thanks to Jr NTR’s pan-India appeal.

Fans across the country—and abroad—are ready for this high-stakes cinematic showdown.

🧠 Final Thoughts: Hero vs Anti-Hero? Or Something Deeper?

What makes War 2 exciting isn’t just the explosions and globe-trotting—it’s the complexity.

With Hrithik Roshan stepping into villain territory and Jr NTR embodying raw, relentless justice, this film is shaping up to be more psychological thriller than popcorn flick.

Kabir vs Vikram isn’t just a battle—it’s a storm of loyalty, betrayal, and redemption. And we can’t wait to watch it unfold.

✨ TL;DR:

• Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir turns villainous in War 2

• Jr NTR plays a deadly special agent, Vikram, chasing him down

• Directed by Ayan Mukerji, releasing on August 14, 2025

• Part of YRF’s expanding Spy Universe
