Jersey:
Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey is a remake of Nani starrer Jersey. The original is a hit at the box office but Shahid’s film tanked at Box Office. Although the film is praised by critics, the film was declared a disaster at Box Office. Also, the film found love from OTT audiences.
Vikram Vedha:
Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s film is a remake of a Tamil film of the same name. The film opened to average response in its initial week. The film is loved by critics but didn’t get the required boost at the Box Office. Given that the film is still running at BO, if going by trends the film can be a below-average affair.
HIT: The First Case
Featuring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra this film is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. The Telugu version is a hit at BO. But, the Hindi version didn’t find any audience and was also panned by critics.
Laal Singh Chaddha:
Aamir Khan starrer is a remake of the 1992 Oscar-winning American film Forrest Gump. The film got mixed responses from critics. And at BO, the film got a disastrous verdict.
Dobaara:
Featuring Taapsee Pannu, the film is a remake of the Hollywood film Mirage. The film got mixed reviews and was declared a disaster at Box Office.
More Remakes In Upcoming Lineups Of Bollywood:
Even the disastrous verdict of these films didn’t stop the filmmakers from making remakes. Akshay Kumar’s Cuttputli (remake of Ratsasan) is released directly on the OTT platform.
Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 is a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name. The advantage Ajay’s film will have is that the original is not dubbed in Hindi.
