The film tanked at Box Office but its cinematography blended with an amazing soundtrack by Amit Trivedi makes it a visual spectacle to remember.
ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA:
ZNMD is a visual delight which showcases Spain so beautifully. The film directed by Zoya Akhtar is a visually stunning movie which features Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan Akhtar. The movie with a great storyline has great visual composition. Cinematographer Carlos Catalan captures this road trip movie very beautifully. He also won the best cinematographer Filmfare Award for this film in 2012.
RAAVAN:
This Mani Ratnam film is visual poetry. Whether it is the opening scene of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on the boat or the visuals of Behene De song, the film has some incredible visuals. Santosh Sivan’s cinematography is on point with the technical brilliance of the best close-up shots, lighting and great locations captured brilliantly.
TUMBBAD:
Tumbbad is the most underrated film of this decade we can say. The film excels in every department. But, the film is so beautifully shot that you are glued to the screens. Along with its technical brilliance, the film has also a terrific story. Cinematographer Pankaj Kumar deserves great appreciation for such stunning visuals and also won Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography in 2019.
GULLY BOY:
The story of a rapper from Mumbai’s Dharavi is portrayed in this movie directed by Zoya Akhtar. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt feature in this film. Once again, Zoya shows her magic with cinematographer Jay Oza in this film.
BARFI:
Anurag Basu’s films are always a visual delight. Be it Kites, Life in a Metra or Jagga Jasoos. Also, including Ludo which streamed on Netflix. But the cinematography of his Ranbir Kapoor starrer Barfi is one of the best visual experiences. Ravi Varman’s cinematography was next level in this film.
MAUSAM:
Shahid Kapoor starrer this film was a dud at Box Office. The songs were hit. But, what stood out in this Pankaj Kapur directorial was its beautiful and poetic cinematography. The songs were pictures of the beautiful landscapes of Punjab and Europe. Cinematographer K.
