Top OTT Releases This Week: Alpha, Bandar, Michael And More To Stream!

As August comes to an end, OTT platforms are bringing a packed lineup of movies and series this week, ranging from big-ticket Indian films and Hollywood titles to documentaries, crime thrillers and returning shows.

Alpha, Bandar, Michael, I, Nobody, Beauty in Black Season 3 and several other titles are among the Top OTT Releases This Week arriving between August 24 and August 30.

Alpha — Netflix | August 28

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-led Alpha arrives on Netflix this week. The seventh entry in the YRF Spy Universe, the action thriller is directed by Shiv Rawail and also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, with Hrithik Roshan appearing as Major Kabir.

The film follows two elite female super-agents trained under a dangerous program and brings the franchise’s high-octane action to streaming.

Bandar — ZEE5 | August 28

Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar stars Bobby Deol as Samar Mehra, a former television and pop star whose life changes dramatically after he faces a serious rape allegation.

The film explores trial by media, power dynamics and public judgment, with Samar’s journey eventually taking him into prison. Sanya Malhotra also stars in the thriller.

Michael — JioHotstar | August 29

Michael chronicles the rise of pop icon Michael Jackson, played by Jaafar Jackson.

The biographical drama traces his journey from his childhood with the Jackson 5 during the 1960s to his emergence as a global superstar around the late 1980s. The film also explores his complicated relationship with his father, Joseph Jackson, played by Colman Domingo, and the personal cost of worldwide fame.

I, Nobody — JioHotstar | August 25

The Malayalam thriller stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Hakim Shahjahan.

The story follows Rajeevan, an ordinary worker who becomes trapped inside a bank during a ₹17-crore heist. After the robbers die in a crash, he becomes the prime suspect. Things become even more complicated when his daughter Jia is kidnapped, forcing him to secretly team up with Jacob.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1 — Prime Video / Apple TV | August 25

DC’s animated Batman: Knightfall Part 1 kicks off its adaptation of the iconic storyline.

The story revolves around Bane orchestrating a massive breakout at Arkham Asylum, pushing Batman to his physical and psychological limits.

The Last Sunrise — Prime Video | August 26

Based on Anna Todd’s 2025 novel, this romantic drama is set in Mallorca.

The story follows a student living with a chronic illness who falls for a local boy, despite his family being caught in a hostile business dispute involving her mother.

The Last Salute — Netflix | August 26

This feature-length documentary pays tribute to the MiG-21’s six-decade association with the Indian Air Force.

Featuring interviews with veteran pilots and archival footage, the documentary looks at the aircraft’s role in India’s aerial defence and its lasting legacy.

Beauty in Black Season 3 — Netflix | August 27

Kimmie’s promotion to COO of the Bellarie hair-care empire puts her directly in the line of fire as corporate betrayal, blackmail and family conflicts intensify.

Leanne Season 2 — Netflix | August 27

The sitcom returns with a new season following Leanne as she navigates post-divorce dating, ageing parents and the complications of middle age.

Babita Singh Reporting — Prime Video | August 28

Nimisha Sajayan leads this investigative thriller as a suspended police officer who begins investigating the murder of her childhood friend outside official channels.

What begins as a personal investigation gradually forces her to confront buried memories and unresolved issues from her past.

Adults Season 2 — JioHotstar | August 28

The second season picks up two months after the first season’s twist.

Anton and Paul deal with the consequences of their unexpected kiss within their green-card marriage, while the wider group navigates relationships and modern adult dilemmas.

Baredda — Prime Video | August 28

This true-crime drama revisits Argentina’s infamous 1992 case involving dentist Ricardo Barreda, who murdered four women in his family.

The series shifts attention away from the killer’s media manipulation and attempts to refocus the story on the victims.

The Secret Woman — Netflix | August 28

This Danish psychological thriller follows Louise, whose peaceful life on a Norwegian island is disrupted when a stranger claims she is actually Helene Söderberg, a woman who disappeared three years earlier.

Her search for the truth takes her into a disturbing mystery involving hidden secrets.

GTA VI: An Extended Look — Netflix | August 28

Netflix is also bringing subscribers an extended look at Grand Theft Auto VI, offering a closer look at Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated game.

The presentation explores the fictional state of Leonida and the relationship between protagonists Jason and Lucia, while showcasing the game’s expansive world.
