Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha has shown encouraging growth on its first Sunday after a slow start at the box office.

Following a modest opening and limited Saturday growth, the YRF Spy Universe film witnessed a noticeable jump in collections on Day 3, raising hopes of a respectable opening weekend total.

According to early trade estimates, Alpha Box Office Collection Day 3 witnesses a strong Sunday surge as Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s YRF Spy Universe film heads towards a ₹15 crore-plus collection in India.

DayIndia Nett
Day 1₹9.25 crore
Day 2₹8.67 crore
Day 3*₹9.83 crore (Till 5 PM)

Opening Weekend Total (Till 5 PM): ₹27.75 crore

Early estimates. Final figures may vary.

Sunday Headed Towards ₹15 Crore+

With evening and night shows still remaining, trade expects the film to comfortably cross ₹15 crore nett on Sunday.

Occupancy improved steadily throughout the day, rising from around 12% in the morning to nearly 18% during afternoon shows, with prime evening screenings expected to contribute significantly to the final total.

Urban Centres Continue To Drive Business

Like the first two days, the film’s strongest collections have come from metropolitan markets.

The leading performing regions include:

  • Maharashtra
  • Delhi-NCR
  • Gujarat

Among cities, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru have emerged as the biggest contributors to the film’s Sunday business.

Weekend Ends On A Positive Note

Despite recording the weakest opening among YRF Spy Universe films, Sunday’s growth should help Alpha post a much healthier opening weekend than initially expected.

However, the real challenge begins on Monday.

A strong weekday hold will determine whether the film can sustain its box office run through positive word of mouth or witness the sharp drop often seen after opening weekends.

With a reported big budget and franchise expectations, Monday’s collection will be the biggest indicator of Alpha’s long-term theatrical performance.
