Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Cocktail 2 is all set to hit theatres on June 19, but the film’s advance booking trend suggests a moderate start at the box office.

According to early trade estimates, Cocktail 2 has grossed approximately ₹3.16 crore in advance bookings, translating to around ₹2.68 crore net.
While the numbers are respectable for a romantic drama, they fall short of expectations considering the film’s star cast, franchise value and promotional campaign.
The advance booking figures are also lower than Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishk Mein, which grossed ₹5.65 crore before release, and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror-comedy Thamma, which registered an impressive ₹6.37 crore in advance sales.
Interestingly, Cocktail 2 has recorded one of the lowest advance booking figures among Shahid Kapoor’s recent theatrical releases.
Only O’Romeo opened lower in terms of pre-sales, collecting ₹3.05 crore gross before release.
Trade analysts believe that advance booking may not tell the complete story for a film like Cocktail 2. Romantic dramas often rely heavily on spot bookings and positive word of mouth, especially among urban audiences.
The film’s opening day performance will largely depend on walk-in audiences and audience reception after the first few shows.
The film recently received an A certificate from the CBFC, which could slightly limit its family audience reach.
However, the mature relationship drama and contemporary storytelling may appeal strongly to young adults and multiplex viewers.
With Shahid Kapoor returning to the romance genre alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, Cocktail 2 remains one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of the month.
Industry observers will now closely watch whether positive reviews and audience reactions can help the film outperform its advance booking trends over the weekend.
