The countdown has begun for one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of June.

Cocktail 2, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, is just days away from hitting theatres, and its advance booking numbers are now starting to paint an early picture of audience interest.

Cocktail 2 advance booking update: Shahid Kapoor’s romantic drama records over 12K ticket sales and gears up for its June 19 theatrical release.

Cocktail 2 Advance Booking Report: Decent Beginning In Advance Sales

The film has reportedly sold around 12,116 tickets across approximately 3,839 shows nationwide during the initial phase of advance booking.

Current estimates suggest that Cocktail 2 has generated around ₹49 lakh in advance ticket sales. Including blocked seats, the opening day figure is expected to be in the range of ₹1.80 crore.

While these are still early numbers and could improve significantly closer to release, the film has managed to establish a reasonable foundation in key urban markets.

Delhi Emerges As The Strongest Market

Among all territories, Delhi-NCR has emerged as the film’s biggest contributor in advance booking so far.

The region has generated over ₹12 lakh in advance sales from more than 600 shows. Maharashtra follows closely behind with collections exceeding ₹11 lakh, supported by strong multiplex presence.

Other notable markets include Gujarat, Rajasthan, Telangana and Karnataka, all of which have contributed steady pre-release business.

However, occupancy levels remain relatively low in several regions, suggesting that audience momentum may build closer to release day.

A Certificate Generates Curiosity

Recently, Cocktail 2 received an Adults Only (A) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.

The certification has sparked conversations among moviegoers, especially since the original Cocktail released in 2012 carried a more family-friendly rating. The sequel’s mature certification has added an element of curiosity around its themes and content.

The film’s official runtime has also been revealed to be 150 minutes, making it slightly longer than the original film.

What Is Cocktail 2 About?

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 revolves around a complicated love triangle involving three friends.

The trailer introduces audiences to Kunal (Shahid Kapoor), Diya (Rashmika Mandanna) and Ally (Kriti Sanon) as they navigate friendship, romance and emotional conflicts.

The story appears to explore modern relationships, heartbreak and personal choices while maintaining the franchise’s trademark blend of humor and drama.

The chemistry between the lead trio has become one of the film’s biggest talking points since the trailer launch.

Can Cocktail 2 Deliver At The Box Office?

The film’s box office performance will largely depend on audience reception and word-of-mouth after release.

While the advance booking numbers indicate a steady start rather than an explosive one, romantic dramas often witness stronger walk-in audiences if reviews and public feedback are positive.

Backed by Maddock Films and featuring music by Pritam, Cocktail 2 carries considerable expectations due to the popularity of the original film and the star power of its lead cast.

With four days still remaining before release, industry observers will be closely watching whether advance bookings accelerate in the final stretch before June 19.
