The wait is finally over—Don 3 is officially back on track.
After multiple delays and much speculation, Farhan Akhtar is all set to begin the Don 3 shoot in January 2026, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the iconic role.
Replacing Shah Rukh Khan in a beloved franchise was never going to be easy, and Ranveer faced his fair share of heat online.
But rather than rushing in, both Farhan and Ranveer chose to take a step back, allowing the storm to pass and giving Ranveer ample time to dive deep into intense prep for the role.
This version of Don demands serious martial arts skills, and Ranveer has been training hard to bring something new and dynamic to the table.
Adding to the hurdles was Kiara Advani’s pregnancy, which forced a temporary halt in production.
She had been brought on to take over the female lead role previously held by Priyanka Chopra.
Meanwhile, Farhan got pulled into his own acting commitments, filming the war epic 120 Bahadur, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh.
That film is now set for release in November 2025.
With all pieces finally in place, the cameras for Don 3 will roll in early 2026. And yes, buzz is swirling that Priyanka Chopra might make a return to the franchise.
A December 2026 release is on the cards, and this reboot is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic events of the coming year.
Ranveer Singh is right now gearing up for his next release, Dhurandhar. The spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar is all set to release on December 5th, 2025.
The movie also features Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Akshaye Khanna.
Meanwhile, Priyanka is shooting for Rajamouli’s SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu.
Fans will be in treat if Ranveer and PC come together for Don 3.
