The upcoming Bollywood release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, has successfully completed its certification process with the Central Board of Film Certification.
The film, scheduled for a Christmas Day release, has received a U/A 16+ certificate after the board suggested a few mandatory edits.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri: What the CBFC Asked For
During the review, the CBFC asked the filmmakers to shorten a sexually suggestive sequence in the first half of the movie by approximately 15 seconds.
This was the most notable cut suggested by the board and was made to ensure the content aligns with viewing guidelines for a wider audience.
Apart from the visual edit, the board also instructed the makers to modify certain dialogues.
A few objectionable words were either muted or completely removed from both spoken lines and subtitles.
In another scene from the latter half of the film, abbreviations linked to offensive expressions were also deleted or silenced to maintain audience suitability.
After the Edits
Once the required changes were implemented, the CBFC officially granted the certification on December 15.
The final runtime of the film now stands at 145 minutes and 41 seconds, making it a little over two hours and twenty five minutes long.
The romantic comedy is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously collaborated with Kartik Aaryan on Satyaprem Ki Katha.
The film is produced by Dharma Productions along with Namah Pictures, marking Kartik’s first project with Dharma while continuing his association with the Namah banner.
With the censor formalities now complete, the focus has shifted to the film’s theatrical debut. Backed by festive timing, a popular lead pair, and a light hearted storyline, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is expected to attract strong footfall during the holiday season.
As excitement builds ahead of its Christmas release, audiences are eager to see how the film performs at the box office and whether it lives up to the growing buzz surrounding it.
