The makers of Ramayana, one of the most anticipated Indian films in production, have reportedly revived plans to host a grand international premiere in Dubai ahead of the film’s theatrical release.

Ramayana Grand Dubai Premiere Back On The Table
According to a report by Mid-Day, discussions surrounding the overseas premiere have resumed after being temporarily shelved earlier this year due to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
The report claims that the makers of Ramayana are planning to host the film’s premiere on October 28, with the event internally referred to as the “Desert Premiere.”
The grand event is expected to showcase the scale of the ambitious mythological epic while celebrating its worldwide release in front of an international audience.
However, the makers have not officially confirmed the reported plans.
Earlier Plans Were Put On Hold
As per the report, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra had initially shortlisted Dubai for the film’s premiere several months ago.
The plans were reportedly paused due to the uncertain geopolitical situation in the Middle East, with the team choosing to postpone any final decision until conditions improved.
Following the easing of regional tensions, discussions have now resumed regarding the feasibility of organizing the event.
Location Scouting Underway
According to the report, preliminary preparations have already begun.
The production team is said to be evaluating multiple venues across Dubai that are capable of hosting a large-scale international premiere.
A source quoted by Mid-Day stated:
“In April, the idea was put on hold because the timing didn’t feel right. Now that the situation has eased considerably, the team is again exploring the feasibility of taking Ramayana to Dubai. The city was always the preferred choice because of its ability to stage large-scale events and the Indian diaspora.”
Dubai has increasingly become a preferred destination for major Indian film events due to its world-class infrastructure and sizeable Indian community.
Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi And Yash Expected To Attend
If the premiere goes ahead as planned, the event is expected to be attended by the film’s lead cast, including:
- Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram
- Sai Pallavi as Sita
- Yash as Ravana
The makers are also expected to invite members of the film industry, international media, and special guests for what could become one of the biggest Indian film premieres held overseas.
One Of Indian Cinema’s Biggest Projects
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is being mounted on a massive scale and is widely regarded as one of the most ambitious mythological films ever attempted in Indian cinema.
The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the lead roles, with extensive visual effects and large-scale production design expected to be among its biggest highlights.
Ever since its first promotional material was unveiled, the film has generated enormous anticipation among audiences across India and overseas.
Official Confirmation Awaited
While reports suggest that preparations for the Dubai premiere are gathering pace, the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the international event.
