The original Dhurandhar had a pre-release streaming deal with Netflix and premiered on the platform around eight weeks after its theatrical debut.
For the sequel, however, the digital rights have been acquired by JioHotstar.
Since the film is backed by Jio Studios, the producers now have greater flexibility in deciding the digital release timeline.

Paid premiere shows alone have sold over 609,000 tickets across thousands of screenings, generating around ₹25.59 crore in net collections.
Meanwhile, opening day bookings have already contributed more than ₹15 crore, pushing the film’s total advance sales beyond ₹40 crore net.
The strong advance booking indicates that the sequel could open to a massive box office response.

The sequel dives deeper into the backstory of Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh.
