After the strong box office run of Dhurandhar, the actor is already lining up an ambitious 2026, with his much discussed post-apocalyptic film Pralay slowly moving toward production.

As per industry reports, Ranveer Singh’s Pralay is expected to go on floors by mid-2026, once Ranveer completes his shooting schedule for Don 3.

The Farhan Akhtar directed action entertainer is set to begin filming first, likely in early 2026. Once those dates are locked, Ranveer will shift full focus to Pralay.

As per Bollywood Hungama, Sources suggest that the final timeline for the zombie thriller will be finalized early next year after Don 3 schedules are confirmed.

The additional prep time seems to be working in favor of Pralay. Directed by Jai Mehta, the film is being described as a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller with a strong emotional and social backbone.

While zombies play a key role in the story, the film reportedly goes beyond surface level thrills. It explores themes of survival, moral breakdown, and emotional collapse in a society pushed to the edge.

One of the most exciting aspects of Pralay is its setting.

The story is said to reimagine Mumbai as a dystopian city, drawing comparisons to global survival dramas while keeping its Indian core intact.

The makers are reportedly planning a large-scale visual transformation of the city. Several parts of Mumbai will be shown as abandoned and ruined, using a mix of real locations, massive sets, and AI-powered digital enhancements to create a haunting, aged look.

For Jai Mehta, Pralay marks a major career milestone. A

fter co-directing the highly acclaimed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story with his father Hansal Mehta, and later helming the web series Lootere, this project will be his debut as a feature film director.

Industry insiders say the film is being mounted as a big-budget, concept-driven spectacle.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues to strengthen Ranveer Singh’s winning streak. Backed by B62 Studios and Jio Studios, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, further cementing 2025 as a standout year for the actor.
