Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is reportedly gearing up to officially announce Kick 2 on Salman Khan’s birthday, December 27th.
The timing could not be more perfect, as fans have long been waiting for an update on the sequel to the 2014 blockbuster.
Kick 2 Casting: Kriti Sanon Approached
Sources suggest that Kriti Sanon has been approached to play the female lead opposite Salman Khan.
Kriti Sanon was launched by Sajid Nadiadwala in Heropanti alongside Tiger Shroff.
She also did Bachchan panday and Housefull4 with the same production house. So their collaboration can be very likely.
If things move forward, this will mark a fresh on-screen pairing that has already sparked excitement across social media and fan circles.
Kriti has had successful run at Box office recently with Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya, Crew and Tere Ishk Mein.
“The idea is to bring something new while keeping the soul of Kick intact,” a source close to the development revealed.
Meanwhile, Salman’s last Sikandar was also produced by Sajid Nadiadwala where Sajid had shared a back photo of Salman Khan announcing Kick 2.
Adding to the buzz, there is strong talk of Unni Mukundan, fresh from the success of Marco, and Akshaye Khanna being considered for important roles in the film.
While no official confirmations have been made, the potential casting has only raised expectations.
Insiders also reveal that the script for Kick 2 is already locked.
However, Sajid Nadiadwala is reportedly aiming to mount the sequel on a much larger scale than the original.
“The film deserves a grander canvas and the right release window,” a source shared, adding that the team wants everything to align perfectly before going on floors.
