Toofan Review:
Farhan Akhtar is playing the character of street fighter Ajju who along with his friend Munna played by Hussain Dalal work for Jaffer(Vijay Raaz). Mrunal Thakur plays the character of Dr Ananya. Ananya tells Ajjun to live life respectfully (read izzat) and for that, he decides to become a boxer. Farhan’s character is coached by no non-sense Nana played by Paresh Rawal.
The film is shot in and around Mumbai locations like Dongri, Gateway of India and various slum areas. This film also features Darshan Kumaar, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Sonali Kulkarni and Mohan Agashe.

Acclaimed filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker has loved the film and compared it with Raging Bull.
FOR ME, all this while, the cinematic textbook of Boxing was #RagingBull Scorsese and De Niro.
Now it is #Toofan Rakeysh and Farhan!
Absolutely a BRILLIANT film!! @RakeyshOmMehra has delivered an INSPIRING film which bridges the religious divide. pic.twitter.com/DQQUeUIYmj— Ashutosh Gowariker (@AshGowariker) July 16, 2021
Some netizens have called it just average but have praised Farhan Akhtar’s performance.
#Toofan has a predictable story and clichéd narration with uninspiring music. Farhan Akhtar is a beast when it comes to his physique and performance, does his job pretty well alongside Paresh Rawal. The film just lacks a punch in its writing. Average!

Paresh Rawal as Coach Nana and Mrunal Thakur’s character Ananya is also getting praises. But found the film lengthy and slow at times.
One user has tweeted Farhan Akhtar is a mixed pickle of RDB, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Panga, Rocky, Raging Bull and Sooryavansham.

Toofan Review:
Fans are just loving the film. There are many praises for Farhan’s acting, physique and overall performance. Mrunal Thakur’s simplistic act and Paresh Rawal’s serious coach act is also receiving lots of praise.
Also, people think that the length should have been shorter and the film is slow at some points. Predicted screenplay and too much runtime are also the problems according to the fans. Also, music has not been able to generate the buzz.
