Tejas Review:
Tejas takes us on an extraordinary journey, introducing us to the life of Tejas Gill, a formidable officer in the Indian Air Force. Still haunted by the haunting memories of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, which claimed the lives of her parents and her boyfriend, Ekveer (played by Varun Mitra), Tejas is a character defined by resilience.
But this story isnโt just about their valor; itโs a gripping narrative that combines courage, patriotism, and personal struggles. As the events unfold, Tejas embarks on a mission that will test her mettle and redefine her purpose. So, fasten your seatbelts and join us as we dive into the world of โTejas.โ
Tejas Story:
The story takes a dramatic turn when news breaks about the capture of an engineer named Shikhar Ali by terrorists in Pakistan. Their demands? None other than the disputed region of Kashmir for his release. As videos of Shikharโs capture go viral, Tejas watches in shock, realizing that Shikhar is, in fact, her batchmate Prashant (Vishak Nair).
To communicate his location, Prashant uses Morse code, pointing to the remote town of Mir Ali. Tejas, determined to rescue her friend, approaches IAF Chief R.K. Panicker (played by Ashish Vidyarthi) with her plan. With his approval, Tejas sets off on a daring mission that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Tejas Review: Performance of Kangana Ranaut and supporting Cast
Kangana Ranaut steps into the shoes of Tejas Gill with an impressive portrayal that showcases her versatility. From her powerful entry scenes to her hard-hitting dialogues, Kangana leaves no stone unturned in her quest to become a mass superstar. While her ambition is admirable, some might miss the Kangana of yesteryears, known for her memorable performances.
Supporting Cast Performance:
Varun Mitraโs handsome presence and his portrayal of Tejasโs boyfriend make for a decent addition to the film. Anshul Chauhan, who plays Arfa, provides moments of comic relief, infusing the film with humor. Aashish Vidyarthi brings his seasoned acting to the table, while Rio Kapadia and Mohan Agashe make impactful appearances. The supporting cast, including Archana Mittal, Mohit Chauhan, Rohid Khan, Mushtaq Kak, Sunit Tandon, and others, deliver competent performances.
Tejas Review: A Missed Opportunity
Tejas tackles a brilliant subject, but it falls short due to its disjointed script and limited vision. The forced injection of jingoism and references to the Ram Mandir raise questions about the need for such elements in a film of this nature. The film struggles to create the excitement expected from an aerial action flick, ultimately leaving the viewer detached.
Tejas may not soar to great heights as a film, but itโs a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices and bravery of our soldiers. Despite its shortcomings, it brings to light the unwavering commitment of the Indian armed forces. While it may not be a box office juggernaut, itโs a movie that deserves recognition for its attempt to honor those who serve their nation with unwavering dedication.
In the end, โTejasโ is an ambitious tale of courage, patriotism, and personal growth that leaves you pondering the true meaning of sacrifice and honor.
