For War 2, Yash Raj Films has decided to bring in Ayan Mukerji to direct the sequel, instead of Siddharth Anand. This news came as a surprise to fans.

Ayan Mukerjee will also direct the Brahmastra sequels, Brahmastra Part 2: Dev and Brahmastra Part 3 which will release in December 2026 and December 2027 respectively.
