Ranveer Singh’s Shaktimaan Reboot: Wamiqa Gabbi Joins The Superhero Adventure!

Ranveer Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi are rumored to team up for a Bollywood remake of the iconic Shaktimaan, helmed by Minnal Murali director Basil Joseph.

This much-anticipated Ranveer Singh’s Shaktimaan Reboot flick has been in the works for five years, with shooting expected to commence in May 2025 and a release slated for 2026.

Wamiqa Gabbi, who captivated audiences with her performance in Baby John alongside Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, is gaining significant traction in the industry.

Her recent roles in Hindi and regional cinema, including her upcoming part in Bhooth Bangla with Akshay Kumar, have positioned her as one of the most versatile actresses of her generation.

Reports suggest she’s set to star opposite Ranveer Singh in this Shaktimaan-inspired adventure.

According to a report from Mid-Day, Wamiqa is being considered for the lead role in the upcoming superhero film.

The project, directed by Basil Joseph, is a modern reimagining of the beloved Indian superhero Shaktimaan.

While the film is still in the early stages, insiders indicate that Wamiqa’s involvement would bring fresh energy to the movie, especially with Ranveer Singh leading the charge.

An industry source revealed, “Wamiqa is being noticed for her diverse roles across both Hindi and regional films. She’s also rumored to be in discussions for a Telugu project opposite Nani. If everything falls into place, her pairing with Ranveer in Basil’s film could be electrifying.”

Though an official confirmation is yet to be made, pre-production for the superhero saga has already kicked off.

Basil Joseph, despite his limited fluency in Hindi, has reportedly been conducting script readings and meetings with Ranveer Singh in Mumbai, ensuring that every detail is meticulously planned.

Ranveer, currently wrapping up Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller, is expected to shift focus to this superhero project post-March.

As per a previous report by Pinkvilla, the Shaktimaan adaptation has been in the pipeline for over three years.

Produced by Sony Pictures India and Sajid Nadiadwala, this cinematic spectacle promises to be one of the biggest superhero films in Bollywood’s history.

Fans eagerly await more details, hoping this dynamic duo will bring a new dimension to the cherished Shaktimaan legacy.
