Triptii Dimri Too Bold for Aashiqui 3? Anurag Basu Speaks Out!

Triptii Dimri Too Bold for Aashiqui 3? Anurag Basu Speaks Out!

The Bollywood grapevine has been abuzz with whispers about Triptii Dimri’s surprising exit from Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3.

Many speculated that her portrayal in films like Animal and Bad Newzz led producers to seek a fresh face for the iconic romantic series, one that embodied innocence and purity.

With Kartik Aaryan leading the cast, fans were eager to see Triptii as his co-star.

However, recent reports hinted that the filmmakers believed her bold on-screen presence was not in line with the delicate charm they desired for this role.

Anurag Basu Speaks Out On Aashiqui 3 And Triptii Dimri Exit:

Initially, reports were rife that Triptii would star opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3.

Yet, as rumors swirled, it became apparent that the producers had second thoughts.

The desire for an “innocent face” seemed to clash with Triptii’s recent cinematic roles, which showcased her in daring and layered characters.

A source quoted by Zoom elaborated, “The essence of Aashiqui lies in its portrayal of a tender, soulful love story. The filmmakers were searching for a leading lady who could exude innocence effortlessly, and they felt Triptii’s recent work didn’t align with this vision.”

Anurag Basu Clears the Air

In an interview with Mid-day, director Anurag Basu addressed the speculation surrounding Triptii’s departure.

When questioned about whether her bold roles influenced the decision, Basu firmly responded, “Not true, she knows it.”

However, he chose not to delve deeper into the topic, leaving some questions unanswered.

As of now, the production team is actively scouting for a new female lead, with filming expected to commence later this month or in early February.

Triptii’s Next Moves

Despite the unexpected turn of events with Aashiqui 3, Triptii Dimri is far from slowing down.

She has shifted her focus to Arjun Ustara, a Vishal Bhardwaj film originally set to star Kartik Aaryan but now featuring Shahid Kapoor.

Additionally, Triptii is gearing up to begin work on Dhadak 2, under the Dharma Productions banner, where she will star alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Directed by Shazia Iqbal, this project marks another significant step in her flourishing career.

As the hunt for the perfect leading lady for Aashiqui 3 continues, one thing remains clear—Triptii Dimri’s journey in Bollywood is only gaining momentum.
