Shahid Kapoor’s Deva: Lip-Lock Trimmed By CBFC, Action-Packed Drama Awaits Release!

Shahid Kapoor, who enjoyed a stellar 2024 with his hit Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, is all set to kick off 2025 with the highly anticipated action drama Deva.

Shahid Kapoor’s Deva Censor Certificate:

Scheduled to release on January 31, the film recently completed its certification process with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

However, the journey to its U/A certificate came with a few adjustments.

The CBFC requested three specific modifications.

A lip-lock sequence was trimmed by six seconds, a visual featuring a “foul gesture” was appropriately altered, and instances of strong language were replaced with milder alternatives.

Additionally, these changes were extended to the subtitles for consistency.

The board also sought clarification regarding a reference to Hutatma Chowk, a prominent landmark in Mumbai, ensuring historical and cultural accuracy.

Deva Runtime:

With all the revisions submitted, Deva secured its U/A certification on December 30, wrapping up at a runtime of 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Deva Cast:

The film, helmed by director Rosshan Andrrews, boasts a star-studded cast, including Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Pravessh Rana, and Kubbra Sait.

Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Umesh K R Bansal, Deva promises to deliver high-octane action paired with Shahid Kapoor’s dynamic performance.

Deva Release Date:

Fans eagerly await Deva which releases 31st January 2025, which marks Shahid’s return to action-packed storytelling.

After an exceptional 2024, all eyes are on Deva to see if it will recreate the magic and solidify Shahid Kapoor’s winning streak.
