After taking a brief break from acting, Mr. Perfectionist is making his much-awaited comeback with Sitaare Zameen Par.

There had been a lot of speculation swirling around regarding when this slice-of-life sports dramedy would hit theaters.
Initially, Aamir was considering a May 30 slot.
However, according to insider sources, the actor-producer decided that a late June release would give his film a cleaner box office run.
And so, June 20 it is! With no major clashes around that time, this strategic move could give Sitaare Zameen Par the breathing room it needs to shine.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is said to be loaded with all the elements Aamir is known for—emotion, humor, and a strong social message, all wrapped up in a heartwarming narrative.
The edit is already locked, and now Aamir is putting his full focus on marketing and promotions.
“Aamir is extremely confident in the film’s content. It follows his classic formula—laughter, emotions, and a touch of drama.
He was waiting for the perfect release window and believes June 20 offers just that,” revealed a source close to the project.

It’s reportedly set to be attached to Raid 2, which releases on May 1, 2025.
So, fans heading to theaters for Raid 2 might just be treated to their first glimpse of Aamir’s latest venture.
“The trailer is ready and the current plan is to showcase it with Raid 2. It’s a smart move since Raid 2 is expected to pull in large crowds, and Aamir wants to announce the film directly to the theater-going audience,” the insider added.
However, knowing Aamir’s meticulous style, nothing is truly final until the last minute—so stay tuned for any sudden changes!
But that’s not all.
While Sitaare Zameen Par is his immediate focus, Aamir is already juggling multiple future projects.
He’s in active talks for a comedy film with Rajkumar Santoshi, and also exploring a high-concept superhero movie with Lokesh Kanagaraj.
