Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 1: Strong Start But Misses Salman Khan’s Top 5 List!
Salman Khan’s latest action-packed entertainer, Sikandar, has kick-started its box office journey with a solid opening, but it hasn’t quite lived up to the sky-high expectations set by his previous blockbusters.
Given the current trend of big-ticket releases, the film was projected to cross the ₹40 crore mark on its first day.
Check out Sikandar Box Office Collection day 1 earnings, worldwide collection, and how it compares to his biggest openers.
However, the film fell short of these estimates despite having the biggest release ever for a Hindi film in India—spanning a staggering 5,500 screens with approximately 22,000 shows per day.
With Salman Khan’s strong fanbase and the buzz surrounding Sikandar, trade experts anticipated an opening day figure that would match or even surpass his earlier Eid and Diwali releases.
Adding to the advantage, the film opened on a Sunday, similar to Tiger 3, which was released during the Diwali festivities in 2023.
However, despite all these factors, Sikandar couldn’t secure a position in Salman’s top five biggest opening days.
On its first day, Sikandar raked in ₹30.06 crore at the Indian box office.
While this is a commendable start, especially for a post-pandemic theatrical landscape, it still lags behind some of Salman’s previous juggernauts.
The film has performed exceptionally well in mass circuits, which is expected to drive further growth in the coming days.
With Eid celebrations in full swing, trade analysts predict a significant boost on Monday.
However, the real challenge begins once the festive hype settles down.
While Sikandar has begun its box office journey on a promising note, it hasn’t been able to breach Salman Khan’s top five highest opening day records.
Here’s a look at his biggest first-day collections:
⭐ Tiger 3 (2023) – ₹43 crore (Diwali release)
⭐ Bharat (2019) – ₹42.30 crore (Eid release)
⭐ Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) – ₹40.35 crore (Diwali release)
⭐ Sultan (2016) – ₹36.54 crore (Eid release)
⭐ Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) – ₹34.10 crore (Christmas release)
Despite missing out on a spot in the superstar’s top five biggest openings, Sikandar has the advantage of an extended festive period.
If positive word of mouth and the holiday crowd push footfalls higher, the film could witness steady growth over the weekdays.
Salman Khan’s mass appeal and the action-packed spectacle may ensure that Sikandar remains a top performer in the coming weeks.
The box office battle has only just begun, and all eyes are now on how Sikandar holds up in the crucial days ahead.
Will it emerge as yet another blockbuster in Salman Khan’s illustrious career? Stay tuned for more updates!
