The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (OSCARS 2021) revealed the shortlisted films on Wednesday in the following categories: International Feature Film, Documentary, Original Song, Visual Effects, Live-Action Short Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Documentary Short Subject, and Animated Short Film.
Indian film Jallikattu fails to proceed to shortlist of 15 features for Oscars 2021 Best International Film. But, Bittu from India has been shortlisted in the Best Live Action category.

The last Indian film that got it to the ultimate 5 in the Best International Feature category was Lagaan (2001) Salaam Bombay (1989) Mother India (1958).
The final list of Academy Award nominations will be declared on the 15th of March.
