Kartik Aaryan starrer Dhamaka is streaming on the Netflix platform from today. The director of the film is Ram Madhvani (Neerja and Aarya fame). Kartik has moved away from his comfort zone of doing romantic comedies in this film. He is playing the role of news channel journalist Arjun Pathak in this film. The film takes its inspiration from the 2013 Korean film The Terror Live. Kartik Aaryan is playing the role of Primetime news anchor who is demoted to RJ. But now he is again roped in to take an interview of a terrorist on Live Tv who has attacked Mumbai’s Worli Sea Link bridge. How things turn up and how the greed of media houses for higher TRPs make the news anchor go through is what to be seen in the film. The film also features Amruta Subhash as channel head and Mrunal Thakur as Kartik’s wife.
