Bollywood actors give their blood and sweat for the preparation of their roles in their respective films. The actor has charged Rs 135 crore for his subsequent films Cinderella and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM), thereby becoming the highest-paid actor in Hindi cinema. Meanwhile. Akshay sometimes charges less when it’s home production or smaller film and takes profit in the ratio of 40-50 % share. As per recent developments, Akshay has reduced his fees for BMCM following disastrous response to his last films in 2022.
Salman has three types of models – Profit Sharing with YRF, Satellite and digital earnings for home productions and finally, taking home satellite and digital stake as fees for the non-YRF film!
Also, Salman was the first actor to take Rs. 100 crore as acting fees for Sultan in 2016. Further, Salman took Rs. 130 Crores for Tiger Zinda Hai. Salman took digital and satellite revenue for Bharat (Rs. 120 Crores) and the same for Dabangg 3.
Aamir and SRK are some of the first actors who get a profit share in their films since the last decade. Shah Rukh Khan has been getting a 60 per cent profit share as his acting fees for the last 10 years. He never charges fees but takes a profit share from his films. He got a big share in Chennai Express and not much in Zero.
Aamir has been clear when it comes to charging fees for his film. He takes a profit share in the ratio of 75%. He also gives his input in scipt and overall filmmaking. That’s why the perfectionist!
Ranbir has taken Rs. 65-70 Crores for his next Animal which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
Hrithik has a kind of hybrid model. He sometimes takes full fees for films and profit share for some films. According to industry rumours, the trade says that Hrithik has taken a share of 55-60% for his last films – Super 30 and YRF’s War.
Ranveer too has increased his fees for his next films- Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus and Shankar’s next. He has charged Rs. 50 Crores for both films.
John has increased his fees 3X from Rs. 7 crores for Satyamev Jayate to Rs. 21 crores for its sequel. Also, John has received the same amount for Ek Villian Returns and Pathan.
Ajay too has a hybrid mode. He charges around Rs. 35 to 40 crores per film. For some films, he takes a profit share of 50%. Furthermore, according to Pinvilla’s article, he has charged a whopping 3-digit figure for his OTT debut Rudra.
Shahid has reportedly charged Rs. 31 Crores for his next film Jersey. After the poor box office performance of his film Jersey, Shahid has reduced his fees.
Varun is keeping it slow and charges around Rs. 35 crores per film. He will also soon switch to a profit-sharing model.
Tiger charges somewhere around Rs. 25-30 crores per film. He has charged Rs. 35-40 Crores for Ganapath and nearly Rs. 50 Crore for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Both Ganapath and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan have been produced by Vashu Bhagnani.
Kartik also is soon trying to be in highest-paid actor in the industry. He has been paid a whopping amount of Rs. 21 Crores for his next action comedy film Shehzada.
