The year is 2010, and you have some awesome films like Anjaana Anjaani, I Hate Luv Storys and Band Baaja Baraat. The songs, the scenes and the vibes of these films were so good and warm. Also, featuring one of the chocolate boys of that generation Imran Khan gave us Break Ke Baad, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. In this article, let’s check some of the best Hindi Rom Coms you can watch which were released in the 2010s.
I Hate Luv Storys (2010):
Featuring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, this film is directed by Punit Malhotra. Released in 2010, this film has songs like Bahara, Sadka and Tere Bin which were instant chartbusters. The film is a feel-good love story.
Anjaana Anjaani (2010):
This film featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra is a feel-good rom-com which has beautiful locations in New York and other parts of the United States of America. The film also has some gems like its title song, Tujhe Bhula Diya and Hairat.
Band Bajaa Baraat (2010):
The film is the debut of extremely talented and energetic Ranveer Singh. Along with him, the film also featured Anushka Sharma. Also, Ranveer’s performance in this film was extremely good and memorable. The film is a story of wedding planners in Delhi and how they fall for each other.
Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011):
This film featured Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif. Also, this film has some good songs which make it a must-watch rom-com.
Barfi(2012):
One of the best films of Ranbir Kapoor, I think Barfi also comes in this genre of rom-com more or less. The love story between Ranbir’s character Barfi and Priyanka’s character Jhilmil was too good.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013):
This film needs no details about it. It has got a cult status over time. This film features Ranbir Kapoor who discovers himself and his love. This film also explored the theme of friendship between Ranbir and Aditya Roy Kapur’s character. This can be your anytime comforting film.
Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015):
The year is 2015 and now the Ayushmann Khurrana era starts where we have started to see small towns’ love stories with a dose of humour. The film also featured Bhumi Pednekar and tells us about a love story where size doesn’t matter.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015):
This movie featuring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan is as good as its prequel. The film directed by Anand L Rai has a good dose of comedy and also romance. Also, the performances of the lead cast were great.
Manmarziyaan (2018):
This film directed by Anurag Kashyap is highly underrated in this genre. The film featured Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal. Also, the performances of the lead stars and music were great and makes it a good watch.
Let’s hope you have liked this list. I have not listed some intense love stories like Ranjhana, Rockstar, ZNMD, and Tamasha because these movies were a little intense. Will do another list for these types of films.
