Ayan Mukerjee Joins Both Astraverse and YRF Spy Universe

Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt, was released in theaters on September 9, 2022, and earned a whopping 257.44 crores in India. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is the first part of a trilogy.

Mukerji has now announced that the second and third parts of the trilogy, Brahmāstra Part Two: Dev and Brahmāstra Part Three, will be shot simultaneously and will release in 2026 and 2027 respectively.

On April 4th, Mukerji confirmed that the release dates for the next two installments had been set. He stated that, after receiving positive feedback on the first part, he has been focused on creating the vision for parts two and three, which will be even bigger and more ambitious than the first. He also revealed that he would be helming another exciting project, which he did not reveal any details about.

Ayan Mukerjee To Direct War 2:

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Mukerji will be directing War 2, the sequel to Yash Raj Films’ blockbuster spy thriller, which will feature Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Kabir. This comes as a surprise to fans, as Roshan and War director Siddharth Anand is already collaborating on another project called Fighter.

According to sources, Ayan Mukerji was chosen to direct War 2 because of his ability to mount a film on a large scale and appeal to all audience segments. He is also known for his unique take on making an epic action spectacle. War 2 will follow the release of Tiger 3, which stars Salman Khan and is set to release on Diwali 2023.
